Industrialist Gautam Adani is set to give a major boost to Bihar’s healthcare sector with the launch of a large-scale rural eye care project in Mastichak village of Saran district on Sunday. Adani, who arrived in Patna earlier in the day amid tight security, is scheduled to perform the foundation stone ceremony for new healthcare initiatives being developed in collaboration with Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital.
The ambitious project aims to transform rural healthcare by providing affordable and advanced eye treatment facilities to underserved communities. Officials said the initiative will focus on creating one of the world’s largest eye care networks, extending quality ophthalmic services to villages across Bihar.
The project will include specialist doctors, modern treatment facilities, medical training programs and mobile medical vans to deliver eye check-ups and healthcare services in remote areas. Local residents have welcomed the initiative, hoping it will significantly improve healthcare access in rural Bihar.
