The Janata Dal (United) has launched a new Janata Darbar initiative at its state headquarters to strengthen communication between the government and citizens. Under the programme, JD(U)-quota ministers will hear public grievances from Monday to Friday and coordinate with concerned departments for quicker resolution of issues.

The development has drawn attention after the party announced that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, will participate in Wednesday’s grievance sessions alongside party leaders Damodar Rawat and Ratnesh Sada. His scheduled presence has sparked political discussions, with many viewing it as a notable step into public engagement.

According to the weekly roster, three ministers will attend daily hearings at the JD(U) office. Senior leaders including Shravan Kumar, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary and Bijendra Yadav are among those assigned to interact with citizens.

Party leaders said the initiative aims to ensure faster grievance redressal and improve direct access between citizens and the government.
