The Bihar government has initiated a massive statewide employment mapping exercise aimed at preparing a comprehensive job creation strategy for the period between 2025 and 2030. Officials said the move is intended to assess the scale of employment generated through various government schemes and identify sectors with the highest potential for future job opportunities.
Under the directive, departments across Bihar have been instructed to collect and submit detailed workforce-related data within a week. Chief engineers, superintending engineers and executive engineers have reportedly been asked to provide information regarding workers employed under different projects operating in their respective regions.
The collected data will later be shared with the Department of Employment and Skill Development to create a centralized employment database. Authorities believe the initiative will help the government identify employment gaps, improve skill development planning and formulate targeted policies for large-scale job generation. Employment creation remains a major political and economic priority in Bihar ahead of the coming years.
