The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched an extensive cleanliness and infrastructure operation ahead of the Bihar cabinet swearing-in ceremony scheduled at Gandhi Maidan. More than 300 sanitation workers have been deployed across the venue to ensure smooth arrangements for thousands of expected attendees.
Officials said PMC teams have already completed large-scale pre-event cleaning, while additional personnel will remain stationed during the ceremony for waste management, toilet maintenance, drinking water distribution and emergency support. The civic body has divided operations into 50 teams supervised by sanitation inspectors and executive officers.
Keeping possible rainfall in mind, authorities have also activated special rain contingency measures. Four super-sucker machines, pumping units and mini-suction machines have been positioned at strategic points to prevent waterlogging and ensure rapid drainage.
To improve visitor convenience, PMC has installed multiple water kiosks, pink toilets for women and food cafés inside the venue. Officials stated the goal is to maintain a clean, safe and well-managed event environment throughout the ceremony.
