Authorities in Patna have announced extensive traffic restrictions and security arrangements for May 7 ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit and the NDA swearing-in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan. Police officials said multiple roads across central Patna, the airport route, Dak Bungalow area and surrounding VIP zones will remain closed or diverted throughout the day.
Movement from Sheikhpura to the airport, Patel Golambar, R Block, JP Golambar and several adjoining stretches will face strict restrictions due to security protocols and VVIP convoy movement. Public parking has also been prohibited in several busy areas to avoid congestion.
Passengers travelling to the airport and Patna Junction have been advised to leave early and use alternative routes suggested by traffic authorities. Special entry arrangements have been made for ministers, VIP guests, media personnel and the general public attending the political event.
