Drug Smuggling Bust: 12,000 Narcotic Injections Seized Near Indo-Nepal Border

In a major crackdown on cross-border drug trafficking, Raxaul Police in East Champaran district seized 12,000 narcotic injections during a targeted operation near the Indo-Nepal border. Acting on intelligence inputs, a police team set up a checkpoint on Mahadeva Sainik Road and intercepted a suspicious Maruti Suzuki car.

Upon inspection, officers discovered specially built concealed compartments inside the vehicle containing 80 packets filled with injections, including Phenargan, Nuphine, and Diazepam. Two Nepalese nationals were arrested on the spot. During interrogation, they revealed that the consignment was being smuggled from Motihari to Kathmandu.

Police have registered a case and seized the vehicle along with mobile phones. Officials suspect the involvement of a larger international drug network operating across the border. Investigators are now analysing call records and tracking links to dismantle the entire supply chain under ongoing anti-narcotics operations.
