The Bihar government has announced plans to develop the state’s largest greenfield satellite township near Patna, spanning nearly 81,000 acres with an estimated investment of ₹1,00,000 crore. Envisioned as a major urban expansion project, the township will feature a modern sports city, a dedicated Fintech hub, logistics infrastructure, and enhanced road connectivity. Strategically located along the Punpun–Fatuha belt on the outskirts of Patna, the project aims to reduce pressure on the rapidly growing capital while promoting balanced regional development. Authorities say the township will integrate residential, commercial, and institutional zones, creating a self-sustained urban ecosystem. Improved transport links, including highway access and proximity to key junctions, are expected to boost mobility and attract investment. Once completed, the project is likely to generate employment opportunities, strengthen infrastructure, and position Patna as a major economic and urban hub in eastern India.
