Nishant Kumar has stepped up his political engagement within JD(U), holding a key meeting with party leaders and grassroots workers to strengthen the organisation. The meeting saw participation from district and block-level leaders from Purnia and Bhagalpur, focusing on improving outreach and consolidating the party’s presence at the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, Nishant Kumar urged workers to actively promote government welfare schemes and ensure their benefits reach the most marginalised sections, including the poor, Dalits, and backward communities. He emphasised that strong workers form the backbone of a strong organisation.
Highlighting governance achievements since 2005, he pointed to improvements in law and order, expansion of police infrastructure, and enhanced public services. He also stressed progress in women’s empowerment through reservation policies, along with initiatives in education, healthcare, and rural development. He called on party members to connect with people and effectively communicate the government’s work on the ground.
