Bihar-Born ‘Mastermind’ Arrested: Noida Violence Plot Cracked After Dramatic Tamil Nadu Capture

In a major breakthrough, Noida Police and the Uttar Pradesh STF have arrested Aditya Anand, a Bihar native accused of masterminding the recent violence during a labour protest in Noida. The 28-year-old engineer, originally from Hajipur in Vaishali district, was apprehended from Tamil Nadu after evading authorities for days. He was carrying a reward of ₹1 lakh on his arrest.

According to police, Anand played a key role in planning and instigating the unrest. Investigators revealed that he held multiple secret meetings between March 30 and April 1, where strategies were devised to intensify the protest. He also allegedly delivered speeches that provoked workers during the demonstration.

The protest, which began over issues like wage hikes, layoffs, and working conditions, later turned violent, leading to vandalism and arson in industrial areas. Police said Anand used digital platforms to coordinate the plan. Two other accused have already been arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.
