Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to move into his new residence at 7 Circular Road in Patna after stepping down from office. He had been residing at 1 Anne Marg for years, which is now designated for the current chief minister following the change in government.

In addition to his Patna relocation, Kumar has also been allotted a government residence in New Delhi as a Rajya Sabha MP. He will occupy a Type-8 bungalow in the Sunheri Bagh area. Security around him has been significantly upgraded to Z-plus level, involving a multi-layered arrangement with armed guards, personal security officers, and escort vehicles.
