Teen Escapes Unhurt as Gunmen Open Fire in Jamui, Probe Underway

Tension gripped Jamui town after unidentified assailants opened fire at a teenager near the busy Mahisouri Chowk area on Thursday evening. The incident occurred between Reliance Mall and B-Mart around 8:30 pm, causing panic among locals. Fortunately, the 15-year-old victim, identified as Amar Singh, escaped unhurt.

According to eyewitnesses, three attackers suddenly fired at the teenager before fleeing on a motorcycle towards the Jamui–Lakhisarai road. Police teams, including Dial 112 units, rushed to the spot and recovered an empty cartridge, a live round, and a misfired bullet from the scene.

The victim was taken to the police station for questioning. Family members revealed that a land dispute with relatives could be a possible motive behind the attack. Police have launched a manhunt to identify and arrest the accused, while investigations are underway to establish the exact cause of the incident.
