Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has stepped into action mode soon after assuming office, issuing strong directives to improve law and order across the state. The impact of this push is already visible in Muzaffarpur, where a significant administrative reshuffle has been carried out within the police force.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kantesh Kumar Mishra ordered the transfer of seven inspectors and 22 sub-inspectors, primarily targeting officers who had been posted at the same police stations for over two years. The move is aimed at ensuring accountability, preventing complacency, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Importantly, Ahiyapur police station, considered one of the most crime-affected areas in the district, has received the highest number of new postings, including ten sub-inspectors transferred from different stations.
Officials have termed the reshuffle a routine administrative exercise, but it clearly reflects the government’s intent to tighten policing and curb rising crime.
