The Bihar government has rolled out a new online land e-measurement system aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability in land-related services. Introduced by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, the system standardises charges and digitises the entire process, reducing the need for physical visits to government offices.
Under the revised framework, the fee for land e-measurement has been fixed at Rs 1,000 per khesra in urban areas, including municipal corporations, councils, and nagar panchayats, while rural areas will be charged Rs 500 per khesra.
All applications must now be submitted through the BiharBhumi portal, where users can also make payments and track the status of their requests online. Officials said the initiative will minimise human intervention, curb malpractices, and ensure faster service delivery. The move is part of a broader push towards digitisation and improved governance in land administration across the state.
