New CM Samrat Chaudhary Springs Into Action Within Hours of Oath

A new political chapter has begun in Bihar with BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary taking oath as the state’s 24th Chief Minister. Wasting no time, he moved into action, reaching the secretariat and holding high-level meetings with top officials to review governance priorities and administrative functioning.

Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Chaudhary and Bijendra Yadav have also assumed charge, taking responsibility for key departments and beginning departmental assessments. Senior leaders from BJP and JD(U) met the Chief Minister soon after the swearing-in, reflecting strong political coordination.

As the cabinet expansion is yet to take place, major portfolios remain temporarily with the Chief Minister and his deputies. Officials say this ensures continuity in governance. A cabinet expansion is expected soon, after which departments will be redistributed to streamline administration and strengthen governance across Bihar.
