A shocking theft at the Mata Siddhidatri Temple in Muzaffarpur has triggered concerns over security, especially as the shrine is located close to a police station. The incident, which took place late Thursday night, was captured on CCTV cameras installed inside the temple.

According to police, three thieves arrived in an auto-rickshaw, broke the temple lock, and entered the premises. While one stood guard outside, the others targeted donation boxes. They broke two boxes to extract cash and fled with two others.

The theft came to light when the priest arrived the next morning and alerted authorities. Police have registered a case and are analyzing CCTV footage to identify the accused. The incident has sparked public anger, raising questions about safety even in sensitive and closely monitored areas.
