Drug Supply Irregularities Exposed at Katihar Sadar Hospital

A major irregularity in the distribution of government-supplied medicines has come to light at Katihar Sadar Hospital, raising serious concerns over the functioning of the health system. Preliminary findings suggest large-scale mismanagement or possible diversion of medicines meant for patients. Acting swiftly, the DM has ordered a high-level investigation and directed the Civil Surgeon to lodge FIRs against those found responsible.
The probe has now been extended beyond the sadar hospital to include block and sub-divisional hospitals, indicating concerns of a wider network of irregularities. Authorities say only a detailed inquiry will reveal the full extent of the alleged scam and identify those accountable.
