Woman Dies After Suicide Attempt With Children in Sasaram Following Husband’s Murder

A tragic incident in Sasaram has left a family devastated after a woman died following a suicide attempt with her two young children. The woman, Reshma Khatoon, had been under severe distress since her husband, Hasan Raza Khan, was brutally killed last month in a land dispute in Muradabad under Mufassil police station limits.

On March 24, Khan was allegedly beaten to death by four individuals in broad daylight. Struggling with grief and seeking justice, Reshma consumed poison and also administered it to her four-year-old daughter and one-and-a-half-year-old son. All three were rushed to Varanasi for treatment, where Reshma succumbed, while the children remain in critical condition.

Police officials confirmed that key accused in the murder case have already been arrested. Following the latest development, authorities have intensified investigations and are conducting raids to apprehend remaining suspects, aiming to deliver justice in the case.
