The Bihar government is set to introduce an Artificial Intelligence (AI) curriculum in government schools for students from Classes 8 to 12, aiming to equip them with future-ready digital skills. The programme will be implemented based on a model developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), with guidelines issued to district education authorities across the state.

The initiative will focus on AI fundamentals, programming, and practical digital applications, helping students understand emerging technologies. It will also integrate tools such as AI-powered video content and interactive learning platforms to enhance comprehension. Under the “Skilling for AI Readiness” programme, students will be introduced to topics like machine learning, neural networks, cybersecurity, and real-world AI applications. Structured into three modules—AI to Be Aware, AI to Acquire, and AI to Aspire—the curriculum aims to strengthen technological literacy and prepare students for evolving career opportunities in the digital age.
