Grand Ram Navami Celebrations in Ayodhya Marked by Historic ‘Surya Tilak’ of Ram Lalla

Ayodhya witnessed grand and spiritually significant Ram Navami celebrations as the ‘Surya Tilak’ of Ram Lalla was performed at exactly noon. During this rare and symbolic moment, sunlight was directed onto the deity’s forehead for nearly nine minutes using a specially designed optical system of lenses, mirrors, and pipes. The ritual marked the birth moment of Lord Ram during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat.

The temple was beautifully decorated, and special prayers were conducted by priests inside the sanctum. Following the ritual, the deity was offered a grand ‘56 bhog’. Devotees in large numbers thronged the temple, with authorities estimating nearly one million visitors throughout the day. Darshan timings were extended from early morning till late night to accommodate the crowd.

Heavy security arrangements were in place across Ayodhya, with multiple agencies deployed to ensure smooth celebrations. The entire city resonated with devotional chants and festive fervour.
