The Bihar Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has introduced a revamped digital platform, ‘RERA 2.0’, aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability and ease of access for homebuyers. The mobile-friendly website enables users to verify registered projects, check promoter and agent credentials, and track complaints online, making the property-buying process more informed and secure.
Officials said the platform has been redesigned with a user-centric approach, addressing long-standing usability concerns on smartphones. It is divided into multiple sections catering to the public, homebuyers, builders and agents, ensuring streamlined navigation and quick access to essential services. Users can also access certified copies of official RERA orders and monitor project progress reports.
A key feature includes a dedicated section highlighting projects and buildings allegedly violating RERA norms, helping curb malpractice in the sector. Authorities believe this initiative will significantly strengthen regulatory oversight and empower buyers to make safer investment decisions.
