Patna’s Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Science City is expanding its facilities with the installation of new galleries and hundreds of interactive exhibits aimed at strengthening science education and public engagement. Officials said the expansion will introduce several themed sections designed to make scientific learning more engaging for visitors.
Work is currently underway on multiple galleries, including the Sustainable Planet Gallery, the Space and Astronomy Gallery, and the Body and Mind Gallery. Together, these sections will feature nearly 300 science-based exhibits across different themes, offering hands-on experiences for students, families, and science enthusiasts.
Two galleries — the BA Scientists Gallery and the Basic Science Gallery — have already been opened to visitors. Construction work for the remaining galleries is progressing steadily.
Authorities said the project is being implemented under the supervision of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM). The expansion is expected to significantly boost educational tourism in Patna while promoting awareness about science, technology, environment, and human biology.
