Patna RPO to Organise Passport Adalat for Long-Pending Applications

Brief By Newsbrief / 6:32 PM on 09 Mar 2026

The Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Patna will organise a special Passport Adalat on March 11 to resolve long-pending passport and Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) applications, officials said. The initiative aims to speed up the processing of cases that have remained unresolved for more than six months.

According to officials, over 900 applicants whose files have been pending for extended periods have been invited to attend the special session at the RPO. The Passport Adalat will allow applicants to directly present their concerns before officials, submit any missing documents and clarify issues that may have delayed the verification or approval process.

Authorities said the move is part of an effort to improve public service delivery and reduce the backlog of passport-related applications in the region. Applicants attending the session have been advised to bring all relevant documents and identification proofs to facilitate quick resolution of their cases. Officials expect the initiative to significantly reduce pending applications.
