Brief By Newsbrief / 9:39 AM on 03 Mar 2026

Patna Metro services will remain suspended on the morning of March 4 due to Holi celebrations, with train operations scheduled to resume at 2:30 pm from Pataliputra Bus Terminal station. The temporary suspension has been introduced to manage festive crowds and ensure passenger safety, officials said. Services will follow the regular timetable for the remainder of the day.

In parallel, the district administration has strengthened emergency preparedness across the city. Major government hospitals, including PMCH, IGIMS, NMCH and AIIMS Patna, have been placed on high alert. While outpatient departments (OPDs) will remain closed, emergency units will function without interruption.

Around 75 additional beds have been reserved across key medical institutions, and specialist doctors in ophthalmology, dermatology, orthopaedics and general medicine have been deployed. Ambulances have been stationed strategically to respond swiftly to any untoward incidents. Authorities have urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and seek immediate medical help if required during the festival.
