The Bihar government has approved a ₹1,339 crore industrial hub project in Dobhi block of Gaya district aimed at strengthening manufacturing capacity and generating large-scale employment opportunities. Officials said the project will focus on attracting industries such as aerospace, defence manufacturing, engineering, construction materials, and technical units. Around 1,670 acres of land are expected to be developed under the plan, with supporting infrastructure including upgraded roads, electricity, and improved transport connectivity. Authorities believe the hub will encourage private sector participation and create a modern industrial ecosystem in the region. The initiative is also expected to enhance trade links with neighbouring markets like Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Government representatives described the project as a long-term strategy to diversify Bihar’s economy beyond agriculture while reducing migration by creating local jobs. If implemented successfully, the industrial hub could significantly reshape Gaya’s economic landscape and strengthen Bihar’s industrial development roadmap.
