In a separate case, a block supply officer was detained for allegedly taking ₹10,000 to facilitate increased foodgrain allocation under the public distribution system. Vigilance teams first verified the complaints before launching coordinated trap operations, officials said. The marked currency was reportedly recovered during the raids, and both accused were taken into custody for further questioning. Authorities confirmed that legal procedures are underway and the officials will be produced before a designated court after completion of formalities.
