The Bihar Transport Department has issued fresh instructions making High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) mandatory across all categories of vehicles, urging owners to ensure compliance at the earliest. Vehicle owners without HSRP have been asked to get the plates installed through authorized agencies or dealers. Transport Secretary Raj Kumar said a departmental review revealed that many vehicles already have HSRP physically installed, but their details are not updated in the official software system.
