One Missing After Tractor–Motorcycle Collision Near Bettiah

A tragic road accident near Motipur bridge in Ramnagar police station area of West Champaran district left one youth missing on Wednesday morning. A speeding tractor collided head-on with a motorcycle, causing the two riders to lose control and fall into a nearby canal. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was badly damaged.

One of the riders, identified as Shahbaag Kumar, managed to swim to safety despite the strong current. However, his companion, Abhishek Kumar, was swept away and is still missing. Search efforts are underway to trace him.

Both youths were residents of Dhoomnagar in Bettiah and had visited Bansgaon Parsouni to deliver a wedding invitation to their sister. They were returning home early in the morning when the accident occurred. The incident has cast a shadow of grief over their family, turning what was meant to be a joyous occasion into mourning.
