Patna Police Bust Gambling Den, 17 Arrested

Patna Police intensified enforcement against illegal activities by busting a gambling den in the Digha police station area. Acting on a tip-off about suspicious gatherings at a secluded location on Paulson Road, a team was formed under senior officers’ directions and the area was cordoned off. During the raid, 17 individuals were caught gambling on the spot.

ASP (Law and Order) Divyanganjali Jaiswal said ₹35,000 in cash, playing cards, several motorcycles and other items were seized. The operation was led by the Digha SHO following instructions from senior officials.

Police said surveillance has been tightened across Patna to maintain peace and order during upcoming festivals. Sensitive locations are being monitored, and special drives are underway against anti-social elements.

Authorities appealed to residents to promptly report suspicious activities, assuring swift action to prevent disturbances and ensure public safety during the festive period.
