BSEB Announces Zero-Tolerance Rules for Intermediate Exam 2026

Brief By Newsbrief / 6:31 PM on 30 Jan 2026

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has issued detailed and stringent guidelines to ensure the smooth and malpractice-free conduct of the Intermediate Annual Examination 2026, scheduled from February 2 to February 13. A total of 13,17,846 candidates will appear at 1,762 examination centres across the state. The board has made it clear that a strict “zero tolerance” policy will be enforced against any form of irregularity.

Candidates have been advised to reach their centres at least one hour before the examination begins. Entry gates will be closed 30 minutes prior to the start of each shift—at 9:00 am for the first shift and 1:30 pm for the second. Any attempt to enter after the gate closure, including scaling walls or forced entry, will be treated as criminal trespass, leading to a two-year ban and registration of an FIR.

Security checks will include two-level frisking, and all electronic devices, including mobile phones and smartwatches, are strictly prohibited. CCTV cameras and videographers will monitor all centres to ensure transparency and discipline.
