Bihar Energy Secretary and Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL) Chairman-cum-Managing Director Manoj Kumar Singh on Saturday conducted a detailed inspection of the 33/11 kV power substation at Desari in Vaishali district. The visit aimed to assess ground-level electricity supply conditions in rural areas and identify technical shortcomings affecting service delivery.

During the inspection, the Energy Secretary reviewed the overall maintenance of the substation, load management systems and preparedness for future demand. He stressed the need for strengthening infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted power supply in villages.

To improve consumer services, Singh issued a key directive for faster grievance redressal. He instructed officials to organise special meetings at the substation level twice a week, allowing electricity consumers to directly interact with officers. These meetings will focus on resolving issues related to billing, metering and supply at the local level itself. Officials said the initiative is expected to enhance transparency, reduce complaints and build greater trust between consumers and the power distribution companies.
