Patna NEET Aspirant’s Death Raises Questions Over Police Probe

The mysterious death of a NEET aspirant from Jehanabad in Patna has once again come under sharp focus after the Patna High Court rejected the bail plea of the accused, Manish Ranjan. While the bail rejection has kept the case in the spotlight, it has also intensified concerns over the police investigation and systemic lapses.

The incident occurred at Shambhu Girls’ Hostel, but serious questions remain over the police’s conduct between January 6 and 9. Despite the victim’s critical condition and the sensitive nature of the case, the hostel room was not sealed for three days, raising fears of possible evidence tampering.
