The Government of Bihar has appointed senior IAS officers as district in-charges across the state in a move aimed at strengthening governance and accelerating development work. According to an official notification, the officers will be responsible for improving inter-departmental coordination, monitoring implementation of government schemes, maintaining law and order oversight, and addressing public interest issues in their assigned districts.
Among the key postings, C K Anil has been named district in-charge for Gaya, Arvind Kumar Chaudhary for Bhojpur, and B Rajender for the state capital, Patna. N Vijayalakshmi has been assigned Samastipur. Several other senior officers have been entrusted with additional districts, covering regions across north and south Bihar.
Officials said similar arrangements have been made for remaining districts to ensure uniform administrative supervision statewide. The government believes the move will make governance more responsive, improve monitoring of development projects, and enhance accountability at the district level.
