The Howrah–Jodhpur (Howrah–Bikaner) Express gold robbery case has taken a serious turn, exposing alleged involvement of railway police personnel entrusted with passenger safety. In a development that has rattled the railways and law-enforcement agencies, a railway court has issued arrest warrants against four active Government Railway Police (GRP) constables posted at the Gaya rail police station, along with two civilians.

According to investigators, the accused constables have been identified as Karan Kumar, Abhishek Chaturvedi, Ranjay Kumar and Anand Mohan. The two civilians named in the case are Parvez Alam and former rail driver Sitaram, also known as Aman Sharma. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the high-profile robbery has intensified efforts to trace the absconding accused.

Officials said that if the accused fail to surrender or cooperate with the investigation, the court may initiate further legal action, including issuing proclamations and ordering attachment of property. Authorities have described the case as a grave breach of trust that has severely dented the credibility of the railway police.
