The Bihar government has given approval for two major high-tech police infrastructure projects in Patna and Muzaffarpur, marking a significant step toward modernising law enforcement facilities in the state. The projects, with a combined cost of over ₹34 crore, aim to enhance policing efficiency and improve working conditions for police personnel.

In Muzaffarpur, a new G+4 office-cum-residential complex will be constructed for the Senior Superintendent of Police. The building is expected to house administrative offices along with residential facilities and modern amenities to support day-to-day operations. In Patna, a G+6 multi-storey police station will be built in the Buddha Colony area, addressing the growing security and administrative needs of the state capital.

Officials said the projects align with Bihar’s broader push to upgrade police infrastructure, improve service delivery, and strengthen law and order amid rising urbanisation.
