Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has issued a strong warning to officials over delays in resolving land and revenue-related matters. Speaking to reporters after a review meeting with senior officers, he made it clear that all applications and pending complaints received during the Land Reforms Public Dialogue must be disposed of by January 15 without exception.
Sinha said the review brought several new complaints and constructive suggestions to light, and immediate corrective steps have already been initiated. He added that a detailed and intensive review of compliance would be conducted after the deadline. Emphasising accountability, the deputy chief minister warned that officers failing to improve their performance would face strict action.
“Those who perform well will be rewarded, but those who commit irregularities will not be spared,” he said, cautioning that transfers outside districts could follow. He further asserted that responsibility would be fixed even if officials have been transferred or retired, making it clear that no one would be allowed to evade accountability.
