Fresh Bid to Four-Lane NH-139: Bihar to Reapproach Centre on Patna–Chhattisgarh Road Plan

Demand to widen the Patna–Chhattisgarh route has gained momentum again as Bihar’s Road Construction Department moves to revive the proposal. Acting on BJP MLA Manoj Sharma’s request, RCD Minister Dilip Jaiswal has directed officials to resend a four-laning plan for NH-139, linking Aurangabad and Arwal, to the Union government for approval and funding. Officials say move could ease traffic pressure.
