Fresh Political Attack in Bangladesh as Opposition Leader Shot

Violence continues unabated in Bangladesh, with another opposition leader shot within a week. National Citizen Party organiser Motaleb Shikdar was attacked by bike-borne assailants around 11:45 am in Khulna and sustained serious head injuries. He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital. Police said the incident follows last week’s killing of Inqilab Manch leader Sharif Usman Hada, heightening political tension.
