Bihar Panchayat Polls 2026 to Be Held on Schedule: State Election Commission

The State Election Commission dismissed social media rumours, confirming that the Bihar Panchayat elections in 2026 will be held on schedule. The tenure of current panchayat representatives ends in December 2026, and polls will be completed beforehand. The commission said voting for all posts, including mukhiya, sarpanch and ward members, will again be conducted using multi-post EVMs across the state.
