Cyclone Ditwah Triggers Heavy Rain Alerts Across South India

A cyclone over the southwest Bay of Bengal and northern Sri Lanka is expected to bring heavy rain to Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema on November 29–30. The storm, which moved northwest overnight, was centred 380 km south of Chennai this morning. It is likely to reach South Andhra Pradesh by November 30. Earlier, it devastated Sri Lanka, killing 123 people
