Afghanistan Seeks India’s Support to Expand Trade Routes Amid Tensions With Pakistan

Afghanistan’s Commerce and Industry Minister Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi said in Delhi that trade issues with Pakistan have escalated after Islamabad halted Afghan transit through Karachi. He said Afghanistan is developing alternative routes, including Chabahar, and has begun groundwork. Azizi added that minor challenges remain, but Kabul will work closely with India to make the route fully operational.
