CBI Arrests Railway Deputy Chief Engineer in ₹98.81 Lakh Bribery Case in Hajipur

Vaishali: The CBI arrested Railway Construction Department Deputy Chief Engineer Alok Kumar in Hajipur for allegedly accepting a bribe. Three others, including his clerk Alok Das, were also detained. During a raid at the Hajipur Junction office, officials recovered ₹98,81,500 in cash wrapped in paper, requiring counting machines. The 12-hour operation involved 12 CBI officers. Kumar is from Chhapra, while his clerk hails from Jharkhand.
