RANCHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun preparations for the 2029 Jharkhand Assembly elections, aiming to regain power after consecutive defeats. Party national president Nitin Nabin will arrive in Ranchi on October 23 for a two-day visit and attend the Jharkhand state executive committee meeting scheduled for October 24 and 25.
The visit is expected to focus on organisational strategy, strengthening the party’s grassroots network and rebuilding public support. BJP leaders are holding internal meetings to finalise arrangements, while national co-organisation secretary Saudan Singh is consulting party leaders and workers to review preparations.
BJP state spokesperson Avinesh Kumar Singh described Nabin’s visit as organisationally significant, highlighting his longstanding connection with Jharkhand. He said the party intends to prepare a detailed blueprint to challenge the incumbent government in 2029.
The BJP has urged workers to engage directly with people well ahead of the elections. Discussions during the executive committee meeting are expected to outline the party’s future strategy and campaign priorities.
