Ranchi : in view of continuous heavy rainfall and worsening weather conditions, the government has decided to keep all government and private schools from KG to Class 12 closed in Ranchi district . The decision has been taken keeping the safety of students in mind.
The Meteorological Department has forecast the possibility of heavy rainfall in several parts of the state. Continuous rain may lead to waterlogging, flooding on roads and disruption of transportation in many areas. This could make it difficult and risky for students to travel to and from school.
As per the government’s directions, regular classes from KG to Class 12 will not be conducted in government, private, non-government and other recognized schools. School managements have also been directed to ensure compliance with the instructions.
The administration has appealed to parents to pay special attention to the safety of their children and avoid allowing them to venture outside unnecessarily until weather conditions improve. People have also been advised to stay away from low-lying areas, waterlogged roads, rivers, streams and other potentially dangerous locations during heavy rainfall.
Further information regarding the reopening of schools will be issued separately by the administration. Parents and students are advised to regularly check official updates from their respective school managements and district administration.
The decision to keep schools closed during the period of heavy rainfall has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure students’ safety and prevent any untoward incident.
