Grok Bot Adds Voice Assistant for Real-Time Conversations

xAI is rolling out Grok Voice across mobile and desktop versions, allowing users to speak prompts and receive spoken responses. The feature is being introduced in phases, with availability expected to expand over the coming days.

Grok Voice enables users to interact directly with the chatbot through spoken commands, reducing the need for typing and keyboards. The technology uses xAI’s real-time voice system, including its Grok Voice Think Fast 2.0 model, launched in July.

According to xAI, the latest system is 1.4 times faster than its previous version. The company also claims improved transcription accuracy compared with other voice transcription systems.

Grok’s first public beta for desktop and iOS was launched in August, followed by an Android beta in September. xAI said it plans to expand voice technology across its platforms, although it has not provided a detailed rollout schedule for users.
