Jharkhand JPSC-CGL Row: BJP Demands CBI Probe, JMM Defends CID Investigation

Political tensions in Jharkhand have intensified over alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC and JSSC-CGL examinations, with the BJP and ruling JMM trading accusations.

BJP spokesperson Abhay Kumar Singh renewed the party’s demand for a CBI investigation, alleging that the CID probe was intended to protect people close to the government. Singh claimed that a CBI investigation could bring Chief Minister Hemant Soren within its scope and urged the government to consider handing over the case to the central agency.

JMM spokesperson Manoj Pandey rejected the allegations, saying the CID is conducting the investigation promptly and that no guilty person will be spared. Pandey said the investigation covers several coaching institute operators and other suspects.

He maintained that the probe is proceeding on the basis of facts and that action will be taken against anyone found responsible. The political dispute continues as both parties maintain their positions over the investigation.
