Ranchi to Face Water, Power Disruptions on Wednesday

Ranchi residents may face water and power disruptions on Wednesday as repair and maintenance work is scheduled across the city.

The Drinking Water and Sanitation Department said water supply to parts of Ranchi will remain affected until 2 pm because repairs are being carried out on a rising pipeline near the Rukka Water Treatment Plant. The pipeline is 50 years old and develops leaks, prompting repairs.

Power supply will also be disrupted in several areas due to maintenance. Ashoknagar and areas will face interruptions from 12 pm to 3:30 pm. RMCH areas, including Naveen Mitra Road, will be affected from 10 am to 4 pm. Tupudana areas, including Upper Hatia, Ekta Nagar and Lower Hatia, will also face outages then.

Ormanjhi will see disruption from 11 am to 2 pm, while ITI feeder areas, including Mansarovar Nagar and Kathal More, will remain affected from 11 am to 4 pm.
