BJP Launches Jharkhand-Wide Protest Over Exam Irregularities

The BJP has launched a statewide agitation in Jharkhand demanding withdrawal of cases registered against students during protests and a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the JPSC-JSSC CGL examination.

The four-day campaign began on Monday with demonstrations in Ranchi, Dumka, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur and Garhwa. BJP workers marched to district collectorates and staged protests against the Hemant Soren government. State president Aditya Sahu, Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi, former chief ministers Raghubar Das and Madhu Koda, and Union minister Sanjay Seth led protests in different districts.

Sahu accused the government of suppressing student protests and demanded that cases against students be withdrawn. Other BJP leaders questioned why the government was resisting a CBI probe.

The agitation will continue until September 11, with demonstrations and gheraos planned at 24 district headquarters. Senior party leaders have been assigned to lead programmes across districts, reiterating demands for accountability and justice for protesting students.
