Ranchi Firing: Police Launch Hunt for Criminal Love Kush Sharma

Ranchi Police have launched a major search for alleged gangster Love Kush Sharma in connection with a shooting at Manda Bagan in the Bariatu police station area. Police identified Sharma and his associate Gaurav Bara as the suspected attackers.

The incident occurred on Sunday night, when land dealer Tony Lohra, a resident of Ratu, was allegedly shot. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Investigators initially suspected a land dispute, but have so far found no evidence of any dispute between Lohra and Sharma.

Following Sharma’s identification, City SP Paras Rana said an SIT has been formed to arrest him. The team includes the Sadar DSP, Bariatu police station officer and other officials, who are conducting raids at suspected hideouts.

Sharma has more than two dozen criminal cases registered against him, involving alleged murder, extortion, attempted murder and illegal arms possession. He was arrested in Bihar in 2022 but later released on bail. His name was also linked to the 2022 Kalu Lama murder case.
