Ahead of Raksha Bandhan, 3,46,084 women beneficiaries in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district have received assistance under the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana. The July 2026 installment, worth ₹86.52 crore, has been transferred into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Aadhaar-based payment system.
Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan said payments have been completed for all eligible women across the district. The transfer, made shortly before Raksha Bandhan, is expected to provide financial support to beneficiaries and help them meet household and festival-related expenses.
Women beneficiaries are spread across blocks and urban areas, including Baghmara, Baliapur, Dhanbad, Egarkund, Govindpur, Jharia, Kaliyasol, Nirsa, Purbi Tundi, Putki, Topchanchi and Tundi.
District authorities said the Maiya Samman Yojana continues to provide financial assistance to eligible women. The payment has brought added happiness among women, while reinforcing the government’s focus on women’s economic support and welfare.
