Jharkhand Governor Seeks Report on Student Protest, Hemant Soren Assures Fair Probe

Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar held a meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren to review the ongoing student protests over alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations. During the meeting, the Governor stressed the need for transparency, fairness and maintaining public confidence in the recruitment process, calling the allegations a matter of serious concern. Addressing the media later, Soren said the government has already initiated a comprehensive investigation and that several suspects have been arrested while raids are continuing. He added that a detailed report would be examined before taking further decisions. The Chief Minister reiterated that the government remains committed to ensuring justice for students and preventing any injustice to the youth. He also said the government's doors remain open for dialogue, assuring that students' demands would be considered seriously and appropriate action would be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
